Mokpo National University and Jeonnam Women and Family Foundation Sign Agreement for Establishing Gender Equality Culture
Expectations for Preventing Dating Violence and Enhancing Gender Sensitivity Awareness on University Campuses
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] The Human Rights Center of National Mokpo University and the Jeonnam Women and Family Foundation signed a business agreement today (21st) in the president's office on the 2nd floor of the university headquarters to prevent dating violence and sexual violence on campus.
Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to expand on-site violence prevention education for freshmen and cooperate to discover and nurture new experts such as gender equality instructors and violence prevention instructors through personnel exchanges including professors and researchers.
The Jeonnam Women and Family Foundation plans to support customized education aimed at preventing dating violence on campus, secondary harm resulting from it, digital sex crimes, and improving gender sensitivity.
Additionally, professors and researchers will be able to complete the foundation’s gender equality instructor training course to utilize it for lectures or research.

Professor Choi Dong-oh, head of the Mokpo University Human Rights Center, stated, “We will strengthen education to prevent violence such as sexual harassment and sexual violence and promote exchange and cooperation with various local institutions.”
