Busan Office of Education COVID-19 Quarantine Policy, 74.2% of Busan Citizens Respond 'Helpful'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education recently conducted a survey to gather citizens' opinions on the "Direction Setting for COVID-19 Quarantine Policy Establishment," receiving positive responses from 74.2% of Busan citizens.
According to the survey results, 74.2% of citizens responded that the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education's overall quarantine policy evaluation was "helpful" in preventing COVID-19 infection, 20.5% said "not helpful," and 5.2% answered "don't know (no response)."
The positive response rate for the overall evaluation of the quarantine policy increased by 19.5 percentage points from 54.7% last year to 74.2% this year.
Regarding the level of COVID-19 quarantine-related guidance, 63.9% responded "well done," 28.3% said "not well done," and 7.9% answered "don't know (no response)."
Concerning the strengthening of quarantine policies at the education office level for the normalization of school education, 88.2% responded that it was "necessary."
An official from the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "The quarantine policies implemented during the difficult times of COVID-19 have gained high trust from the education community and citizens. We will listen carefully to voices from the field and do our best to create safe and enjoyable schools by restoring daily school life."
The survey was conducted over six days from the 1st to the 6th of the month, targeting citizens aged 18 and older residing in Busan, through landline telephone and mobile panels. The number of respondents was 1,000.
The response rate for the survey was 4.1% for landline and 20.1% for mobile panels, with a margin of error of ±3.10 percentage points.
