Korea & Company Donates 750 Million Won to Community Chest of Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hankook & Company announced on the 21st that it donated 750 million won in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea. This donation will be used for underprivileged neighbors in Seoul, Daejeon, and the Chungnam region. The company has donated a total of 12.8 billion won to date. In 2020, it donated 100 million won for flood damage recovery in the Daejeon and Chungnam areas, and 500 million won to prevent COVID-19 damage among vulnerable groups. Its affiliate, Hankook Tire, operates a vehicle-sharing project that provides vehicles to social welfare institutions, considering the nature of its business.
