SKB Launches 'Mobile Business Phone' Combining Cisco Webex
Support for B2B Customer Calls, Messaging, and Video Conferencing
'Basic' Plan Free for 2 Months Until the End of June
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] SK Broadband is creating a ‘mobile office’ for business-to-business (B2B) customers in collaboration with global IT company Cisco.
On the 21st, SK Broadband announced that it will launch a mobile business phone service combining corporate internet phones with Cisco’s remote collaboration service 'Webex' and enter the collaboration solutions market.
Cisco Webex is a global collaboration solutions company used by 95% of the Fortune 500 companies in the United States. This is the first time a domestic telecom company has launched a bundled product with Cisco Webex.
By integrating business landline phones and smartphones, users can make and receive calls on the company number through the Webex app, allowing them to work freely without exposing their personal mobile phone numbers. Customers can simultaneously use a main number or an internal landline phone, or replace landline phones with PC and mobile devices.
The fees have also been reduced. Through a strategic partnership with Cisco, the combined purchase of business phones and Webex is more than 50% cheaper than buying them separately. For customer convenience, one-stop services are provided from service application and activation to fault handling, along with customized consulting for each customer.
The core target is medium-sized companies and small businesses with frequent fieldwork. The monthly usage fee per phone line (excluding VAT) is 3,000 KRW for Basic (mobile/PC phone + chat), 10,000 KRW for Standard (Basic + video conference with up to 100 participants), and 30,000 KRW for Premium (Basic + video conference with up to 1,000 participants). SK Broadband offers Basic customers two months free and Standard customers a 50% discount for two months for subscriptions made by the end of June.
Yoo Go-myung, Vice President of Cisco Korea, said, “We plan to support corporate growth by providing customized solutions optimized for the hybrid work environment that has become widespread after the pandemic.”
