Philips Korea and Korea University Medical Center Sign MOU to Build Future Hospital Based on Digital Transformation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Philips Korea announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea University Medical Center to plan and build a future hospital based on digital transformation.
This agreement was made with the purpose of establishing an industry-academic cooperation system between Philips and Korea University Medical Center for regional community development, exchanging knowledge and technology, and effectively utilizing educational resources.
To this end, both institutions will promote ▲ mutual cooperation in building cutting-edge digital healthcare services ▲ mutual cooperation to establish innovative medical capabilities and infrastructure ▲ mutual cooperation for the development of the domestic and international healthcare industry ▲ employee education and advisory cooperation to strengthen digital capabilities.
Based on the agreement, Philips plans to conduct the Digital Healthcare Maturity Assessment (DHMA) process at Korea University Hospital. Through the DHMA developed by Philips, the overall digital healthcare maturity of the hospital will be assessed, and future goal directions for digital transformation will be presented. Additionally, both institutions plan to hold a Co-create Workshop to gather various opinions and demands within the hospital and to select new medical technologies and build a customized roadmap.
Kim Dong-hee, CEO of Philips Korea, said, “It is meaningful to cooperate with Korea University Medical Center, which is focusing on digital transformation for a new leap forward,” adding, “Philips will actively support Korea University Medical Center to become a world-leading future hospital based on its accumulated experience and innovative technology in the health technology field.”
