SSG Food Market 1st Anniversary... Strengthening Product Competitiveness with Premium Focus

SSG.com announced on the 20th that to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the premium supermarket ‘SSG Food Market,’ it will release its own settlement data and hold a week-long celebration promotion from the 21st to the 27th.
Since April 29 of last year, SSG.com selected 450 representative products of SSG Food Market and began online sales with dawn delivery. In fact, as of April 20 this year, the cumulative number of orders over the year exceeded 3.2 million, with a cumulative total of 6.1 million products ordered. The cumulative number of purchasing customers reached 3.15 million, and the repurchase rate of customers who bought SSG Food Market products more than twice was 50%. The cart penetration rate was about 30%, meaning that on average, 3 out of every 10 items in the shopping cart were SSG Food Market products.
The best-selling products over the year were ‘SSG Jeju Gamgyul (2.5kg/box),’ ‘Okjong Strawberry 500g/pack,’ ‘SSG Animal Welfare Fresh Eggs 20-pack,’ ‘La Confiture Salted Butter 450g (30 pieces),’ and ‘Hanwoo 1++ Sirloin Steak 200g,’ with premium fresh foods such as fruits and meat all ranking high.
SSG.com developed more than 100 new products on average every month and enhanced product competitiveness based on exclusive products available only on SSG.com. Representative products included the ‘SSG Food Market Curation Fruit Box’ gathering seasonal fruits, the ‘Yoo Yongwook Barbecue Lab Bacon Kit’ made from famous restaurant menus as HMR, and the ‘Starbucks Cloud Cheese Cake’ brought online from popular store items. Through continuous product development and onboarding, the number of SKUs handled increased more than fourfold from 450 at the beginning of operations to 2,000 this year.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the launch of ‘SSG Food Market,’ SSG.com will hold a week-long celebration promotion from the 21st to the 27th.
Each day, one steady-selling popular product will be selected and offered at a limited quantity 50% discount special price. On the first day of the event, the 21st, ‘Eco-friendly Low Carbon Karahyang 1.8kg’ will be sold for 8,900 won, followed by ‘Seolsung Ranch Hanwoo Meat Soup,’ ‘Granology Signature Granola,’ and ‘SSG Animal Welfare Fresh Eggs 20-pack,’ among others.
There will also be a group purchase event. The ‘SSG Food Market 1++ Sirloin Steak 200g’ will be sold at a 40% discount, and if the group purchase target quantity is achieved, up to 10,000 won in SSG Money will be awarded.
Additionally, the first 3,000 customers who purchase over 100,000 won including SSG Food Market products through the online-exclusive automated logistics centers NE.O 002 and 003 zones via SSG Delivery or dawn delivery will receive an apron featuring the SSG Food Market logo.
There is also a customer participation event. Among customers who leave comments related to SSG Food Market on the event page, winners will be drawn to receive prizes such as ‘Wedgwood plates,’ ‘Villeroy & Boch wine glasses,’ and ‘Notdam brass cutlery.’ Furthermore, customers who leave anniversary congratulatory comments on the official ‘SSG Food Market’ Instagram account will be entered into a draw to receive ‘Jute shopper bags’ and 50,000 won in SSG Money.
