Lotte Construction Develops Industry-First 'Integrated Safety Management Indicator'
On the 19th, Lotte Construction announced that it has developed the industry's first integrated safety management index for effective safety management.
Typical safety accident prevention measures are based on past accident cases. There was a problem in that potential risks arising from construction work could not be predicted or objectively compared with other sites. To address this issue, Lotte Construction established a standardized management index that assigns weights to various factors at the site, enabling risk comparison between sites.
With the introduction of the integrated safety management index, additional safety managers are deployed to sites with high accident risks, and additional support is provided for safety facilities and protective equipment. Furthermore, special inspections are conducted frequently at these sites for efficient safety and health management. The integrated safety management index has been developed and applied to all sites starting this year.

A Lotte Construction official stated, "At the company-wide level, we plan to use the integrated management index to establish investment plans such as personnel recruitment and technology development, and to carry out various safety and health management activities." He added, "In addition, by sharing the collected big data across all sites, it is being used as a key indicator to predict accident risks at similar sites in advance."
