KOTRA Hosts Forum on 'Korea's Green... Transition to Renewable Energy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] KOTRA announced on the 20th that it held the '2nd Business Plus Forum' at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul in collaboration with the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
The forum was held under the theme of 'Korea's Transition to Green and Renewable Energy Industries.' Approximately 50 expatriates from foreign companies and institutions operating in Korea attended. The lectures covered ▲the latest trends in Korea's green and renewable energy industries ▲newly changed regulations ▲business opportunities.
KOTRA explained that there was significant interest among attendees due to the increasing domestic business opportunities related to eco-friendly policies such as achieving national greenhouse gas reduction targets and revitalizing the green economy.
Ryu Jae-won, Head of KOTRA's Trade and Investment Data Division, stated, "This is a crucial time for climate change and companies' preparation measures," adding, "The purpose of the forum is to provide timely information to foreign expatriates working in Korea to minimize their management risks and enhance their work performance."

Meanwhile, the Business Plus Forum has been held monthly since March this year. Eighteen foreign chambers of commerce in Korea, which have signed education cooperation MOUs with KOTRA, are participating.
