Jeju Sanbang Sikdang Launches 50-Year Jeju Native Bibim Milnaengmyeon Meal Kit

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Sanbang Restaurant, famous as a must-visit restaurant with long lines in the Jeju area, has launched a Bibim Mil Naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) meal kit, allowing people across the country to enjoy the taste of Jeju Bibim Mil Naengmyeon without visiting Jeju.

Jeju Sanbang Restaurant began operations in 1971 in Moseulpo, Daejeong-eup, and recently has become one of the essential stops for tourists anywhere in Jeju, including Jeju Branch and Shin Jeju Branch.

As Jeju-style mil naengmyeon gained great popularity among locals and tourists, Jeju Sanbang Restaurant prepared for two years to enable households nationwide to enjoy Jeju’s flavors, and will unveil the Bibim Mil Naengmyeon meal kit through funding starting on the 20th.

The funding period will run for eight days from the 20th to the 27th, and to commemorate the first launch, the meal kit will be offered at a 30% discounted price.

Since Chairman Kim Hyung-seop opened the Jeju City branch in 2012, Jeju Sanbang Restaurant has also been known for its social contribution projects.

Chairman Kim, a member of the Community Chest of Korea’s Honor Society, has donated 100 million KRW and contributes annually to scholarship programs and half-price mil naengmyeon donation events, supporting the local community. He has also donated 50 million KRW to the Yonsei Severance Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center, leading efforts in sharing and giving.

Regarding the first meal kit launch by a Jeju local restaurant, Chairman Kim Hyung-seop said, “With the determination to create a century-old business passed down through generations, I wanted many people to taste the flavor of Jeju Sanbang Restaurant, which led to preparing this meal kit.” He added, “I will always remember social sharing with gratitude and strive for the development of the local community.”
