Jeju Province plans to support a total of 198 competitions and events with 9.4 billion KRW this year through projects supporting sports competitions by category for both disabled and non-disabled individuals to revitalize community sports aimed at enhancing residents' health and physical fitness.
It is also expected to help residents recover a healthy daily life through the activation of community sports.
To encourage the use of private sports facilities, since April 1st, a 10% discount on monthly usage fees up to 20,000 KRW is being supported until this year's budget is exhausted.

The supported business types include 10 categories: golf practice ranges, billiard halls, swimming pools, yoga & Pilates, comprehensive sports, sports dojangs, soccer fields, table tennis halls, tennis courts, and health clubs.
Additionally, to strengthen non-face-to-face services and expand infrastructure for public sports facilities, an integrated reservation management system for public sports facilities will be established by the end of this year to provide safe and convenient non-face-to-face services to local residents.

The construction project also aims to provide comfortable and convenient public sports facilities to residents in the western areas of Jeju City, including Yeon-dong, Nohyeong-dong, and Oedo-dong.
Meanwhile, safety inspections will be conducted on outdoor exercise equipment installed in sports facilities, parks, rivers, and village halls by the end of June to ensure residents' health promotion and safety.
