Gwangju University Supports Mental Health of New and Transfer Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju University is operating the ‘Hi-5’ mental health screening customized program to help new and transfer students adapt to school life.
This program will be conducted in five stages during the first semester of this year. In the first stage, an online personality test called ‘e-mind’ is used to create a profile of seven traits and understand the individual's personality characteristics.
The second stage, understanding one's temperament and personality (online personality interpretation lecture ‘Maeum see’), involves listening to interpretation videos tailored to the individual based on the personality test results.
From the third stage, experts meet new and transfer students in person. Through counseling, a personality understanding workshop called ‘Tikitaka’ is operated to enhance understanding of others, share school life experiences, and find areas for improvement.
In the fourth stage, a 1:1 customized interpretation counseling program called ‘Smile’ is provided to individual applicants, offering specific counseling services. Finally, in the fifth stage, long-term in-depth one-on-one counseling with experts is planned.
