Police Send Gaseyeon to Prosecution for Defamation of Cho Kuk, Lee In-young, Kim Byung-wook, and Han Ye-seul
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on the 18th that it has sent four individuals, including lawyer Kang Yong-seok, operator of 'Garosero Research Institute,' to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of defamation against former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk and others.
According to the police, these individuals are accused of defaming former Minister Cho's daughter and son by raising sexual harassment allegations during a 2020 YouTube broadcast. They are also accused of raising allegations of military service corruption involving Minister Lee In-young's son during his confirmation hearing, sexual assault allegations against a secretary of People Power Party lawmaker Kim Byung-wook, and suspicions related to the private life of actress Han Ye-seul's boyfriend.
