Ministry of Unification: "North Korea, Stop Actions Escalating Tensions on the Korean Peninsula"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Unification on the 18th urged North Korea to "stop actions that escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula" in relation to North Korea's recent test launch of a new tactical guided missile.
Cha Deok-cheol, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Unification, said at a regular briefing that day in response to a question about the related stance, "North Korea must immediately cease actions that create tension on the Korean Peninsula and cause instability in the regional situation," adding, "We once again urge them to promptly come to the dialogue table for peace."
