President Moon exchanges congratulatory letters with Chilean President on 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 18th, President Moon Jae-in exchanged congratulatory letters with Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font to commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Chile.
In his letter, President Moon expressed hope that cooperation in various fields such as economy and trade, climate change, and science and technology would deepen on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Chile. He also stated that the Republic of Korea's early accession as an associate member of the Pacific Alliance (PA) is expected to promote this.
President Boric evaluated the progress and consensus achieved between the two countries in a wide range of fields and expressed hope to cooperate based on the mutual understanding and trust built over the past 60 years. He also emphasized that reducing fossil fuel use, expanding clean energy and E-mobility to respond to climate change are essential for the growth and sustainability of both countries' economies.
