[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] The court partially accepted the injunction request filed by Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, against the cancellation of her admission at Pusan National University.
Accordingly, Cho will temporarily retain her graduation qualification and student status at Pusan National University's Graduate School of Medicine.
On the morning of the 18th, according to the legal community, the Administrative Division 1 of the Busan District Court (Chief Judge Geum Deokhee) partially granted the injunction request filed by Cho to suspend the effect of the cancellation of admission to the Graduate School of Medicine at Pusan National University until the final judgment of the main lawsuit.
The suspension period is until 30 days after the date of the main lawsuit ruling on the cancellation of admission approval by Pusan National University.
Earlier, on the 5th, Pusan National University canceled Cho's admission to the Graduate School of Medicine for the 2015 academic year.
The university cited the admission guidelines stating that "if false documents are submitted, admission will be canceled," and the court ruling that the certificate of commendation from Dongyang University’s president was forged or false as grounds.
Subsequently, Cho’s side filed the main lawsuit seeking cancellation of the admission cancellation decision by Pusan National University’s Graduate School of Medicine and applied for an injunction. On the 7th, she also filed a nullification lawsuit against the admission cancellation decision by Korea University.

Meanwhile, former Minister Cho stated on his Facebook, "According to Pusan National University’s internal investigation report, the career and certificate in question did not affect the admission," adding, "Canceling admission approval based on career entries that had no influence on the admission decision and consequently invalidating the medical license is an excessively harsh punishment for the applicant."
