KT&G Janghakjaedan to Nurture Ballet Talents... Open Recruitment for Culture and Arts Scholarship Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] KT&G Scholarship Foundation announced on the 18th that it will conduct an open recruitment for cultural and artistic scholarship students to discover and nurture talents in the dance (ballet) field, in collaboration with the Korea Mecenat Association and the World Ballet Leaders Council, until the 27th of this month.
The KT&G Scholarship Foundation's cultural and artistic scholarship program aims to nurture young talents into artists active on domestic and international stages. Since 2016, together with the Korea Mecenat Association, it has selected scholarship students in the fields of dance, music, traditional arts, and fine arts, providing an annual scholarship of 5 million KRW per person. This year, a total of 40 scholarship students will receive scholarships amounting to 200 million KRW.
Applicants must be students majoring in ballet from the first year of middle school to the third year of high school. Applications for the audition, along with demonstration videos, can be submitted via email by the 27th of this month. Those who pass the first screening will be selected as final scholarship students through a public audition next month.

A KT&G Scholarship Foundation official stated, "Students who were selected as cultural and artistic scholarship students are already active on various global stages," adding, "We plan to continue diverse support with greater interest in artistic genres that need helping hands so that talented individuals can realize their dreams."
