Gwangju Nambu Fire Station, Appointment of Female Volunteer Fire Brigade Chief
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Seo Mi-young, the deputy commander, has newly assumed the position of female volunteer fire brigade chief at Gwangju Nambu Fire Station.
Gwangju Nambu Fire Station held an inauguration ceremony for Chief Seo on the 15th and presented her with an appointment letter.
Chief Seo enlisted in June 2010 and has served as the female volunteer fire brigade's secretary team leader, field management team leader, general affairs manager, and deputy commander, actively engaging in preventing safety accidents in the local community and voluntary service activities.
Chief Seo pledged, “All female volunteer firefighters will unite as one to do their best to protect the community’s safety from various accidents and fires, and I will lead volunteer activities without forgetting my initial resolve.”
