Samsung Electronics, #YouMake Global Campaign... "Just the Way I Want"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Samsung Electronics announced on the 17th that it will launch the global campaign '#YouMake,' which allows customers in major countries around the world to choose and create products and services that fit their own lifestyle. '#YouMake' is a campaign that embodies the company's vision of pursuing connectivity between experiences and devices.
Through this campaign, Samsung Electronics enables customers, including the main target MZ generation, to design products according to their tastes and styles on the '#YouMake' page within Samsung.com. Customers can directly design their desired style by selecting product colors and finishing materials, and the completed design can be saved or actually purchased.
This method allows customers to design and purchase Samsung Electronics' customized product lineup, such as the Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition, Galaxy Watch4 Bespoke Edition, Bespoke Refrigerator, The Frame, The Freestyle, and Smart Monitor M8, according to their own personality.
In addition, e-store products for 'YouMake' will be separately planned and sold for some product lines, including the Smart Monitor M8 and Galaxy S22.
Furthermore, on the 'YouMake' page, customers can experience the connectivity and utility of products through Samsung Electronics' Internet of Things (IoT) platform, SmartThings. For example, customers can create a convenient daily experience by connecting various Samsung Electronics products, such as browsing the internet on the Smart Monitor, conducting video conferences on the 'Neo QLED TV,' and sharing meeting materials via the Galaxy S22 in a work environment.
The campaign will start in eight countries in the first half of the year, beginning with South Korea and the United States on the 18th, and plans to expand the target countries in the second half of the year. 'YouMake' is a long-term campaign aimed at continuously developing various products and services to broaden customers' lifestyle choices, rather than showcasing specific products on a one-time basis.

In particular, the goal is to provide truly personalized services based on 'One Samsung,' which integrates and controls all devices needed in daily life through SmartThings. This aligns with Samsung Electronics' intention to integrate its set business and launch the DX division. Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and Head of the DX Division at Samsung Electronics, emphasized in his keynote speech at 'CES 2022' that "every user should be able to personalize their devices" and "we will provide an advanced connected experience through SmartThings."
