"Record-breaking Heat Approaching"... LG Electronics Runs Air Conditioner Production Line at Full Capacity
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] As an unprecedented heatwave is forecasted for this summer, LG Electronics announced on the 17th that it has started full operation of its air conditioner production line in Changwon, Gyeongnam, from this month.
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that from June this year, daytime temperatures will rise, causing high-temperature phenomena at times. It also forecasted that in July and August, due to the influence of the North Pacific High, there will be many hot days.
LG Electronics recently launched the 2022 model LG Whisen Tower Air Conditioner equipped with automatic cleaning management and a self-cleaning function that allows customers to clean it themselves. The automatic cleaning management includes: ▲ Filter Clean Bot (Stage 1) that automatically cleans the ultra-fine filter ▲ Antibacterial ultra-fine filter (Stage 2) that removes bacteria that may adhere to the filter ▲ Air purification certified by the Korea Air Cleaning Association CAC (Certification Air Conditioner) (Stage 3) ▲ Heat exchanger cleaning (Stage 4) ▲ AI drying (Stage 5) ▲ 99.99% UV LED fan sterilization (Stage 6), managing the airflow path automatically and thoroughly at each stage.

Additionally, LG Electronics added a self-cleaning management function that allows customers to easily open the air conditioner interior and clean all fans whenever needed. By simplifying the structure, loosening only the screws attached to the front panel, side grille, and fan connections enables thorough cleaning of all four fans.
