View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Wang Jin-jin (real name Jeon Jun-ju), the spouse of painter and broadcaster Nancy Lang, has been sentenced to six years in prison by the Supreme Court on charges of fraud, embezzlement, and spousal assault.
According to the legal community on the 17th, the Supreme Court's 3rd Division (Presiding Justice Noh Jeong-hee) upheld the lower court's ruling on the 31st of last month, sentencing Wang to six years in prison on charges including embezzlement, fraud, and injury. The order to complete a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program was also maintained.
Previously, Jeon was arrested and prosecuted after being sued by Nancy Lang during their divorce proceedings in 2019 on charges including injury, special threats, and special assault. He was also prosecuted for embezzlement and other charges for receiving hundreds of pieces of pottery without paying for them, and was tried together with other charges.
