Commemorative Image Displayed on Large Facade of Yongin Research Facility
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] GC Green Cross announced on the 17th that it has displayed a large image commemorating ‘World Hemophilia Day’ on the media facade of its R&D Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) has designated April 17 as ‘World Hemophilia Day’ and conducts annual campaigns to raise awareness about hemophilia. This year’s slogan is ‘Access for All: Partnership. Policy. Progress.’, emphasizing national policy improvements to enhance treatment accessibility for hemophilia patients.
Hemophilia is a hereditary bleeding disorder caused by a deficiency of clotting factors in the blood. According to the Hemophilia Foundation White Paper published by the Korea Hemophilia Foundation, about 2,500 hemophilia patients are registered in South Korea.
Since its founding, GC Green Cross has continuously strived to create a smooth treatment environment for hemophilia patients. Its representative products include the plasma-derived treatment ‘Greenmono’ and the recombinant product ‘Greenzine-F’. Recently, it is developing an antibody treatment ‘MG1113’ that can be used regardless of hemophilia type.
