Bae Insu, Seo-gu Mayor Preliminary Candidate, Promises Safety Pledge with '24-Hour Call Center' Operation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Bae In-su, the Democratic Party of Korea's preliminary candidate for Gwangju Seo-gu Mayor, announced on the 15th, "I will operate and establish a 24-hour call center as a measure to eliminate blind spots in safe welfare."
The core content of the pledge is to install a call center that receives calls from residents in need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and dispatches personnel to the site within 30 minutes. Issues that cannot be resolved immediately will be handled by a dedicated team.
Candidate Bae said, "I had thought about this pledge since long ago while doing volunteer work," and emphasized, "After the apartment collapse accident in Seo-gu occurred, I considered it a pledge that must be implemented unconditionally."
He continued, "Before the collapse, numerous complaints from nearby commercial residents and subcontractor employees must have sensed something," and said, "If they had reported through the call center, the dedicated team would have responded."
Additionally, he said, "Visiting the city hall memorial hall and thinking about the Sewol ferry disaster still makes my heart heavy. The I-Park site is the same," and paid tribute to the deceased by saying, "I sincerely pray for the repose of all the victims."
