Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation Launches Expansion Project for East and West Hinterland Complexes of Gwangyang Port
Expansion of Port Logistics Industry through Resolution of Backland Congestion
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 15th that it will commence the detailed design service for the "Gwangyang Port East and West Side Hinterland Expansion Project" to attract tenant companies.
The Gwangyang Port East and West Side Hinterland Expansion Project is being implemented to resolve the shortage of land by utilizing idle areas (210,000㎡) such as green spaces and parking lots as logistics sites due to the increasing demand from tenant companies.
This project will carry out the detailed design by December this year, start the expansion project in 2023, and plan to provide the logistics sites to tenant companies in 2024.
An official stated, "We will continuously communicate with prospective tenant companies and nearby residents during the project and actively reflect their demands."
