T'way Air "ICAO Officials Visit Aviation Training Center"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] T'way Air announced on the 15th that key aviation officials from around the world attending the '2022 ICAO International Aviation Law Conference' visited its training center.
The 2022 ICAO International Aviation Law Conference, held from the 12th to the 14th, is an event hosted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It is a forum for presentations and discussions on aviation-related legal agendas, fostering cooperation among member countries and sharing the latest aviation policies.
On the afternoon of the 14th, as part of the industrial inspection program during the event, aviation-related officials from various countries attending the ICAO conference visited T'way Air's Aviation Training Center located at the cargo terminal of Gimpo Airport.
The ICAO industrial inspection participants toured and experienced various facilities within the T'way Air Aviation Training Center. They were introduced to the flight control room, emergency evacuation practice rooms and door trainers for the A330 and B737 aircraft models, emergency exit practice rooms, fire training rooms, and service training rooms, where demonstrations and hands-on experiences were conducted.
The T'way Air Aviation Training Center is equipped with the latest purpose-built training facilities such as emergency evacuation slides, door trainers, fire suppression rooms, emergency equipment rooms, and first aid practice rooms. The T'way Air cabin crew training instructors conducting the training also hold professional instructor qualifications in first aid, aviation security, dangerous goods, and crew resource management.
In November last year, T'way Air became the first domestic low-cost carrier to receive approval as an aviation training institution from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It was certified for excellence in all aspects including training facilities, training courses, training managers, and instructors, enabling it to conduct outsourced training for cabin crew of other airlines. In January, it also conducted requalification training for Eastar Jet cabin crew.
