View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The College of Engineering at Pukyong National University and the Southeast Regional R-WeSET Project Group signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with the Yeongnam branch of the IT Women Entrepreneurs Association on the afternoon of the 12th at Pukyong National University Engineering Building 1.
Through this agreement, the institutions agreed to mutually cooperate to nurture outstanding female talent in science and engineering, which is essential for leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and to strengthen the competitiveness of regional industries.
Accordingly, they plan to collaborate on ▲establishing a cooperative system for national and regional industrial development ▲designing and operating industry demand-based curricula ▲building communities to activate information exchange and networks for regional industries ▲industry-academia cooperation in new industries and regionally specialized industries ▲mentoring, field training, internship activities, and employment linkage support for female students at Pukyong National University.

Pukyong National University was selected as the lead university for the Southeast region (Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam) in the 2022 Regional Science and Engineering Female Talent Development Project (R-WeSET 2.0) by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET), and is conducting various projects to expand the capabilities of regional female talent in science and engineering and to promote the advancement of female science and technology professionals into new technology fields.
