Asiana Airlines announced on the 12th that it will resume flights on the Incheon-Paris and Incheon-Rome routes starting in June. This comes after a suspension of flights for about 2 years and 3 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The Paris route will operate three times a week from June 22, and the Rome route will operate twice a week from June 18.
From next month, the airline plans to increase flights on the Incheon-Frankfurt and London routes. The Frankfurt route will increase from four to five times a week starting May 28, and the London route will increase from twice to three times a week starting May 30.
Expansion of other Europe and Americas routes is also under consideration.

Meanwhile, the government plans to increase the number of international scheduled flights starting next month. The number of international scheduled flights will increase from 420 flights per week this month to 520 in May and 620 in June. From July, flights will increase by 300 per week, reaching 2,420 flights per week by November, which is half the level before the COVID-19 crisis.
