Imsil Cheese Theme Park to Host 'Cultural Arts Performances' Starting from the 16th

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil Cheese Theme Park, a representative tourist destination in Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is starting cultural and artistic performances for spring visitors.

The county announced on the 12th that starting from the 16th, cultural and artistic performances enjoyable for all ages will be held on weekends, holidays, and during various events at the outdoor performance hall of the Cheese Theme Park to welcome the new spring.

The performances will be held for cheese experience participants and general visitors to the Cheese Theme Park, featuring regular shows such as magic, bubbles, balloons, circus, busking, as well as music performances, puppet shows, and Nongak (traditional Korean percussion music).

The cultural and artistic performances at Imsil Cheese Theme Park are part of a project operated under Jeonbuk Province’s key initiative to discover and foster attractive tourist destinations by city and county, known as the “One City, One County, One Representative Tourist Destination” development project.

To celebrate the spring season, the county plans to operate the performances from this month until the end of the year, providing enjoyment and revitalizing daily life for tourists visiting the Cheese Theme Park on weekends and holidays.

In particular, to ensure safe performances amid COVID-19, the events will be conducted in compliance with quarantine guidelines such as social distancing for spectators.

Efforts are being made to create a safe and healthy performance viewing culture through measures including marking seating areas, posting social distancing guidance banners, requiring mask-wearing, and providing hand sanitizers.

This cultural and artistic performance will be held twice a day on weekends and holidays at the outdoor performance hall in the Cheese Theme Park’s fountain plaza, with more than four performances per day added during special events such as Children’s Day, offering a rich variety of shows.

Imsil Cheese Theme Park is a core tourist attraction representing the county, drawing numerous visitors every year.

In autumn, it transforms into the Imsil N Cheese Festival site, where over ten million chrysanthemums bloom, attracting around 500,000 visitors before and after the festival, gaining recognition as a top tourist destination.

A county official said, “We expect the representative tourist destination’s cultural and artistic performances to revitalize tourism at Imsil Cheese Theme Park and provide diverse attractions and entertainment,” adding, “We hope these performances will be a gift that revitalizes the daily lives of many tourists weary from COVID-19.”
