Gwangju Seo-gu Successfully Concludes Village Community Capacity Building Workshop

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 12th that it conducted a capacity-building workshop on the 11th for organizations selected in this year's resident-led village community contest project.

This workshop, held for 137 organizations selected from city and district contest projects, focused on basic education about village communities, guidance on contest project operation directions, and accounting education including subsidy budget preparation and accounting standards.

The capacity-building education included a review of last year's village community activities such as the Seo-gu Village Policy Assembly and domestic training for village community contributors, along with an introduction to this year's basic education on village communities and contest project operation directions.

The accounting education course covered essential topics for operating village community contest projects, such as subsidy application and settlement methods, subsidy budget preparation standards, budget execution procedures, and precautions during execution.

Additionally, a Q&A session was held to address questions regarding the preparation of accounting documents.

Seo-gu uploaded the content of this accounting education on the YouTube channel ‘Seo-gu Village Center’ and plans to continue supporting village communities through practical accounting training courses to ensure no difficulties arise during contest project implementation.

A Seo-gu official stated, “We will continue to provide village community consulting and resident capacity-building education to actively support the growth and stable operation of village communities.”
