Oh Jeongwan Bom Appointed as Executive Chairman of Gangneung Film Festival
Produced works including 'Banckikwang', 'Janghwa, Hongryeon', and 'Dalkomhan Insaeng'
The Gangneung International Film Festival held a board meeting on the 12th and appointed Oh Jeong-wan, CEO of Film Company Bom, as the new executive chairman. The term is three years, until March 2025. Executive Chairman Oh founded Film Company Bom in 1999 and produced films such as Foul King (2000), A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), Scandal: A Joseon-era Story of Love and Intrigue (2003), A Bittersweet Life (2005), You Are My Destiny (2005), and Woman on the Beach (2006). Recently, he produced director Kim Tae-yong's Wonderland, which is preparing for release. Outside of production, he has served as a member of the Gyeonggi Film Commission, an operating committee member of the Asian Film Awards, and deputy executive chairman of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival. The newly reorganized Gangneung International Film Festival will be held around Gangneung City in November.
