Medicox GS Payment Signs Electronic Payment Agency Contract with Gomi Payments for Annual Transactions of 200 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] GS Payment, a 100% subsidiary of MedicoX, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 12th that it has signed an electronic payment agency service contract with GomiPayments, a subsidiary of the global commerce company Gomi Corporation.
GS Payment is an integrated PG (Payment Gateway) specialist company that intermediates transactions with original payment companies (card companies, telecom companies, banks, etc.) and settles payment amounts.
Starting with this contract, GS Payment will act as an electronic payment service agent for all domestic and overseas branches of GomiPayments, including the marketplace 'GomiMall,' where approximately 200 billion KRW worth of transactions occur annually.
The company expects the scale of agency payment transactions to continuously increase this year, as GomiPayments is expanding diversified sales channels with domestic and international media commerce companies centered on the marketplace 'GomiMall.'
In particular, regarding 'GomiMall,' considered a core marketplace, it was explained that active e-commerce continues, recording over 3 million monthly active users (MAU) in Vietnam alone since the service launch, based on consumer-targeted purchase conversion and programmatic-based performance marketing strategies.
MedicoX, a KOSDAQ-listed company, recently acquired 100% of GS Payment shares to secure competitiveness in payment agency services within its bio distribution business division. The company plans to continuously focus on diversifying profits as GS Payment’s business performance, which is smoothly progressing including the GomiMall agency service, will be reflected in MedicoX’s consolidated financials starting this year.
