[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] Hyundai Engineering & Construction Technical Training Center announced on the 12th that it is recruiting trainees for the National Core Strategic Industry Course until May 29.
The number of recruits is 60 for two courses: BIM Construction Management and Electrical Equipment Construction Practice. The training will be conducted from June 13 to November 29.
Applications can be submitted through the Hyundai Engineering & Construction Technical Training Center website. Eligible applicants are high school graduates or higher who wish to find employment and can obtain the National Tomorrow Learning Card, with no restrictions on age or gender. However, if the applicant is currently enrolled in a university, they must be able to graduate by the end of the training.
For those taking the National Core Strategic Industry Course for the first time in their life, the tuition is free. All trainees will be provided with free textbooks and practice materials during the training period, and a certain training allowance will be paid differentially based on attendance rate.
Graduates who complete the training will be introduced to employment opportunities at domestic and overseas sites of construction companies and partner firms in the same industry, such as Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Engineering. Graduates holding safety, health, and quality-related certifications will also be given priority hiring opportunities at construction sites managed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction.

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 1977, the Hyundai Engineering & Construction Technical Training Center is the only specialized construction manpower training institution in the domestic construction industry, having trained about 38,000 construction personnel to date. It has achieved a high employment rate of 89% last year despite the COVID-19 situation, by offering field-centered customized training, the latest trend education, and professional and differentiated construction industry courses.
