Samsung Financial Companies Joint Brand, 'Samsung Financial Networks' Launched
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Securities, Samsung Card, and Samsung Asset Management, the five Samsung financial companies, announced on the 12th that they will launch a joint brand identity (BI) for Samsung financial companies to strengthen global competitiveness and create a future-oriented image.
The new Samsung financial BI displays "Samsung" with "Financial Networks" underneath, symbolizing financial collaboration. This aims to enhance synergy and expertise among the financial companies and express the vision and commitment to expanding the financial ecosystem.
The typeface, expressed in Samsung’s symbolic blue, uses a rounded yet geometric Samsung-exclusive font to embody a young and flexible image. Additionally, the use of lowercase letters was intended to convey a consumer-friendly and soft image, Samsung emphasized.
The middle line symbolizes continuously providing opportunities to customers and drawing a new path in finance, expressing the commitment to sustainable management toward the future, the company added.
The new Samsung financial BI is described as the result of a collective effort involving employees, executives, and brand experts. It was promoted to strengthen the global competitiveness of Samsung financial companies and form a future-oriented image amid rapidly changing financial environments.
A Samsung financial official explained, "We judged that it is a time when collaboration to create synergy based on each company's competitiveness is necessary," adding, "To enhance competitiveness and create a future-oriented image through collaboration among Samsung financial companies, including the integrated financial platform Monimo, a joint BI for Samsung financial companies was concluded to be essential."
Samsung financial companies announced that to systematically apply the integrated brand on-site, the currently used oval mark will no longer be used, and the CIs (corporate images) that were mixed and used by each company will be reorganized to fit the financial BI.
Initially, replacement work will be carried out on externally visible visuals such as each company’s outdoor signs, business cards, and websites. A comprehensive review of the reorganization of sub-brands and subsidiaries applied to each company’s products and services will also be conducted and implemented sequentially.
