[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte ON announced on the 12th the launch of its premium beauty specialty store 'On and the Beauty,' marking the start of its full-scale entry into the premium beauty market.
'On and the Beauty' is a beauty specialty store featuring over 3,000 carefully selected brands by Lotte, including luxury brands and popular SNS brands. Leveraging Lotte Department Store's product competitiveness and the convenience of e-commerce, it aims to become the go-to channel for purchasing beauty products.
The strength of On and the Beauty lies in its more than 80 premium brand exclusive zones. In premium brand zones such as Yves Saint Laurent, Est?e Lauder, and Jo Malone, products are introduced by categories including new arrivals, popular items, skincare, and perfumes, with customer reviews available for each product. Video content featuring brand managers explaining products and makeup tips is produced and released, and differentiated products such as pre-launches and exclusive sets are offered in collaboration with premium brands.
The 'Gift' service has also been improved. Products are suggested based on popular items, themed occasions, categories, and delivery times. For purchases made through the gift service, department store gift wrapping is applied to ensure satisfaction for both the sender and the recipient.
Lotte ON operates an exclusive membership for On and the Beauty called the 'On and the Beauty Club.' Customers can join by registering their skin type and consenting to receive messages via the Lotte ON application (app). New members receive a 10,000 KRW welcome coupon and up to 12% coupon packs monthly.
For On and the Beauty Club members, a 'Special Gift Event' is held where samples can be requested online and delivered to their homes. From the 18th to the 27th, 500 people will be selected daily, totaling 5,000 winners, to receive up to 17 luxury skincare samples. Members who share the On and the Beauty Club with friends will receive 1,000 L.Points on a first-come, first-served basis, and those who participate in the event recommending their ideal lip color will be given new lipstick products, offering various opportunities.
To celebrate the launch of 'On and the Beauty,' Lotte ON is offering up to a 10% instant card discount on purchases of department store beauty brands until the 24th of this month. Until the 30th, a 'Luxury Skincare Top 10 Product Review Event' is held, where customers who purchase the products and register their skin type and concerns along with photo reviews will receive additional L.Points.
On the 12th, a special live broadcast for On and the Beauty will be held, introducing premium brands featured in On and the Beauty and its services.
Meanwhile, Lotte ON plans to introduce services combining online and offline through On and the Beauty. On the 4th, it issued 'Sample Coupons' that allow customers to visit Lotte Department Store locations to receive samples. The 'Sample Coupon' enables customers to receive samples and consultations at their designated Lotte Department Store after obtaining the coupon on Lotte ON.
