Hapcheon-gun Implements Supervisor Training for 'Serious Industrial Accident Prevention'
Introduction to Key Provisions of the Serious Accident Punishment Act Legislation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam recently conducted major accident prevention training for about 100 people, including department heads newly appointed as supervisors, eup/myeon chiefs, and project managers.
This training was organized to raise awareness of major accident prevention, clarify key issues of the "Serious Accident Punishment Act" implemented since January, and help properly understand the newly enforced law to reduce confusion in the workplace.
Kim Gap-hwan, head of the Industrial Accident Prevention Guidance Division at Jinju Employment and Labor Office, who gave the lecture, conducted education on key provisions of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, obligations to establish and secure safety and health management systems, and comparisons with the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
A county official said, "We will familiarize ourselves with the Serious Accident Punishment Act and create a safe Hapcheon through firm safety awareness and active fulfillment of duties by all employees."

Prior to this training, Hapcheon-gun formed a dedicated organization in January to proactively respond to the Serious Accident Punishment Act, established a safety and health management system, and formulated and implemented a basic plan for accident prevention.
