Gwangju Seobu Fire Station "Looking for Firefighting Artifacts to Exhibit at Fire Museum"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will promote a fire relic collection campaign until October to establish a quantitative and qualitative foundation for fire relics to be exhibited at the National Fire Museum to be built in 2024.
The fire relic collection campaign, which has been conducted since last year, aims to continuously and successfully perform the core exhibition and production functions after the opening of the National Fire Museum.
The collection targets include world fire history documents, stamps, helmets, souvenirs, posters, and more.
To participate in relic donation, visit the Fire Relics Archive website, select 'Fire Relics Donation Campaign,' fill out the fire relic donation application form, and submit it by mail or email.

Moon Hee-jun, head of the Western Fire Station, said, “Historical materials such as relics easily lose their value or get destroyed if they are not professionally managed and preserved,” and added, “We ask for the public’s great interest and donations so that fire relics and related anecdotes can be preserved and passed down for a long time.”
