Seocho-gu Provides Customized Hygiene Consulting to Over 1,430 Delivery Restaurants, Increasing Resident Trust
Providing consulting reports to each business, encouraging owners to manage hygiene independently... Continuous follow-up by evaluation grade to enhance community trust
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu will provide customized hygiene consulting to diagnose and evaluate the hygiene of 1,434 delivery food establishments in the area from the 11th through August, in collaboration with professional companies, to alleviate residents' concerns about hygiene issues in delivery food restaurants.
The customized hygiene consulting will proceed as follows.
First, together with professional companies, the hygiene status of ingredient storage and delivery packaging will be inspected, and potential contamination risks will be diagnosed. After the diagnosis, practical improvement and supplementation consulting will be provided to business owners based on the inspection results and on-site conditions. Finally, each establishment will receive a consulting report.
Through this, business owners themselves will be encouraged to improve their awareness of hygiene, identify problems, and manage hygiene autonomously.
Along with this, a satisfaction survey will also be conducted for each establishment.
The district plans to further conduct continuous hygiene management through follow-up management based on evaluation grades derived from the consulting results. In particular, establishments rated as "Excellent" will have kitchen disclosure videos produced upon request and will be posted as best practice cases on the official website and SNS. For establishments rated as "Unsatisfactory," follow-up inspections will be conducted to verify whether the pointed-out issues have been improved, thereby raising the overall hygiene level.
Detailed information is available on the Seocho-gu Office website. For other inquiries, contact the Hygiene Division of Seocho-gu Public Health Center.
So far, the district has made great efforts to ensure residents can visit hygiene establishments with peace of mind. This year, it supports 50% of kitchen repair costs (up to 500,000 KRW) for restaurants under 100㎡, and has received strong responses from business owners by supporting projects such as the "Facility Improvement and Laundry Price List Posting Project" in 2019, the "Ventilation Fan and Duct Cleaning and Replacement Project" in 2020, and the "Installation of Dividers Between Tables" in 2021.
