View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Se-eun] At around 2:45 a.m. on the 10th, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 occurred in the sea area 23 km east of Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the epicenter (the point directly above the underground focus where the earthquake occurred) of this earthquake was at 36.45 degrees north latitude and 129.62 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 18 km.
Seismic intensity 3 vibrations were also observed in some parts of Gyeongbuk. Intensity 3 is strong enough for people in high-rise buildings indoors to noticeably feel it, and stationary cars may shake slightly.
The Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters received about 10 reports related to the earthquake, such as shaking detection, but there were no specific damage reports like collapses.
