"Keep Your Car Up-to-Date Without Visiting the Center" Polestar, OTA Update
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar announced on the 8th that it will conduct its first wireless software update (OTA) since entering the domestic market. OTA is a function that allows vehicle owners to update the vehicle's software via wireless communication without visiting a service center.
The newly updated software version, 'P 2.0,' will be upgraded to Android R for the Android Automotive operating system infotainment system. The company explained that the focus is on enhancing the connection security between the vehicle and the driver and improving application functionality.
Polestar began delivering the Polestar 2 to domestic customers last month. Those who have already received the vehicle can individually perform free updates using the 5-year LTE data usage support provided by Polestar Korea. Vehicles delivered in the future will come with the updates completed.
