Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Presents Plaque of Appreciation to Janggeum Shipping
Expansion of Gwangyang Port Call Routes Contributing to Domestic Export and Import Cargo Transportation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 7th, Park Seong-hyun, President of Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA), presented a plaque of appreciation to Geum Chang-won, President of Janggeum Shipping, the largest regular shipping line operator at Gwangyang Port, at the World Marine Center.
Janggeum Shipping is the third largest domestic shipping company and ranks 20th worldwide based on fleet capacity, operating the most regular shipping services (approximately 24 sailings per week) at Gwangyang Port.
At the event, President Park Seong-hyun said, “We deeply appreciate Janggeum Shipping for expanding the Gwangyang Port calling routes and contributing to the transportation of cargo for domestic import and export shippers despite the logistics crisis caused by COVID-19. As a partner to the shipping companies, the Authority will continue to strengthen customer-centered management and work together to build the future of Yeosu Gwangyang Port.”
