View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui University and the Game Rating and Administration Committee held the launch ceremony for the ‘Post-Game Management Supporters’ on the 6th at the Prime Convention Multipurpose Hall on the 1st floor of the Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Building.
The event was attended by Kim Gyu-cheol, Chairman of the Game Rating and Administration Committee, Kim Beom-su, Head of the Autonomous Support Headquarters, Lee Im-geon, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation at Dong-Eui University, Kim Chi-yong, Professor of Game Engineering and Supporters’ Responsible Professor, Kim Hyun-tae, Dean of the ICT College of Engineering, Oh Se-ung, Head Professor of Game Engineering, and supporters composed of students majoring in game-related fields.
The Post-Game Management Supporters, launched as a pilot project this year, selected 20 students from game-related departments and majors in universities located in Busan and Gyeongnam who have a high interest in the game industry and excellent abilities in SNS activities, design, and video content production.
Over the next six months, the supporters will submit monitoring reports on ‘NFT games,’ ‘game advertisements,’ and ‘prevention of gambling tendencies in games such as illegal currency exchange and prize events,’ and conduct SNS promotional activities to eradicate illegal games.
The Game Rating and Administration Committee is a specialized institution fostering a healthy gaming culture for the development of the game industry, a core field of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
It also promotes various policies to prevent the inducement and encouragement of gambling tendencies, protect youth, and prevent the distribution of illegal games.
Kim Gyu-cheol, Chairman of the Game Rating and Administration Committee, said, “We are diversifying private cooperation monitoring to proactively block the distribution of illegal games and raise public awareness,” adding, “We will contribute to establishing distribution order in the game market and protecting youth.”
Professor Kim Chi-yong of Game Engineering said, “To prevent illegal game use and indiscriminate exposure of illegal game advertisements to youth, we will work with the supporters to expand the project further next year.”
