Pilot Operation of 'Dicle,' Customized Digital Sexual Crime Prevention Education for Elementary, Middle, and High Schools
Pilot Operation from the 6th, Official Service from May 2nd
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 5th that it has established an online-based digital sex crime prevention education platform called 'Dicle' for elementary, middle, and high school students, and will begin pilot operation from the 6th of this month.
'Dicle' is an abbreviation of 'A digital world without sex crimes, keeping the digital world clean.' In response to the increase in digital sex crimes such as illegal filming and distribution, and the severe impact on children and adolescents, the Ministry has created an online educational space tailored to the level of elementary, middle, and high school students.
According to the Ministry, victims of child and adolescent sexual exploitation, including the production of sexual exploitation materials, increased by 79.6% compared to the previous year in 2020. In 2020, the largest number of digital sex crime victims were teenagers (24.2%) and people in their twenties (21.2%).
Dicle is structured to provide content tailored to the level of elementary, middle, and high school students by differentiating the access screens accordingly. Learning is possible not only on PCs but also in mobile environments such as smartphones and tablet PCs.
The Dicle website will undergo pilot operation starting from the 6th of this month, and after reviewing improvements through an inspection team composed of teachers and parents, official service is scheduled to begin on May 2nd.

To enhance content delivery, formats such as entertainment shows, performances, web dramas, and counseling centers are utilized.
