Imsil-gun Opens KakaoTalk Channel... Strengthening Communication with Residents
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 5th that it has launched a KakaoTalk channel from this month to strengthen communication with residents and provide fast and convenient information delivery.
The KakaoTalk channel is a service operated on KakaoTalk, the most widely used national messenger in Korea.
With Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube already operating stably, the addition of the KakaoTalk channel is expected to deliver county government news to residents more quickly and in greater detail, effectively enhancing the ‘Imsil-gun brand.’
Through the KakaoTalk channel, various news including major and minor county government updates, information on key tourist attractions introduced on existing SNS channels, as well as taste, style, and media reports will be quickly provided to residents.
To this end, the county is conducting a ‘Big Event’ for adding KakaoTalk friends starting from the 15th, and as of this day, the number of subscribers has rapidly increased to 563.
The event can be participated in by searching for ‘Imsil-gun Office’ on the KakaoTalk channel, adding the channel, and sending a certification shot to the person in charge via email.
The winners will be announced through the KakaoTalk channel on the 20th, with a total of 200 people selected to receive 5 slices of Imsil Cheese Combination Pizza.
The county is currently serializing ‘Vivid Imsil News,’ which delivers lively news of Imsil through Facebook, and ‘Small but Big Steps Story,’ which introduces the style and taste within the region.
The number of friends receiving news through Facebook reaches about 13,000, and Instagram followers also reach about 3,000.
The newly revamped YouTube channel this year is gaining popularity with explosive views and a rapid increase in subscribers by presenting a fresh program called ‘Eomni, Gatchiga’ (Mom, Let’s Go Together).
With the fantastic conversational collaboration between local resident and ‘Gaeguwoman’ Oksim, ‘Eomni, Gatchiga’ has reached about 150,000 views since its first upload last month, and subscribers have increased from about 4,600 to 8,200, nearing the 10,000 mark.
The county expects that adding the KakaoTalk channel to these existing channels will satisfy residents’ right to know and greatly enhance two-way communication between the county and residents, creating significant synergy effects.
A county official said, “With the operation of the KakaoTalk channel, residents can access county news more easily and quickly,” and added, “We hope many residents join the channel and fully enjoy the administrative services provided by the county.”
