Ministry of the Interior and Safety Operates 'Information Disclosure System' in a Data-Friendly and User-Centered Manner
Information Disclosure Committee Meeting, Review of '2022 Information Disclosure Work Plan and Comprehensive Evaluation Plan'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] This year, the information disclosure system will be operated with a focus on enhancing the public's data accessibility and strengthening the quality of citizen-centered and demand-centered customer services.
On the 5th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that it held the 45th Information Disclosure Committee meeting on the 6th and reviewed and finalized the '2022 Information Disclosure Work Plan and Comprehensive Evaluation Plan.' This year's operation of the information disclosure system mainly includes improving data accessibility for information disclosure, strengthening protection of non-disclosable information, enhancing public convenience in information disclosure request methods, and improving work efficiency in processing requests.
First, to improve the public's data accessibility during information disclosure, the method of information disclosure will be converted into a data-friendly open format so that the public can use data more easily and conveniently. Information frequently requested by the public and information related to key projects under the Policy Real-Name System will be designated as pre-disclosure targets and disclosed in advance to enhance public convenience and the quality management of disclosed information.
Furthermore, personal information management will be further strengthened during the information disclosure request process. To prevent leakage of non-disclosable information such as names and resident registration numbers, the information disclosure systems, which have been managed independently by each agency, will be managed integrally, and periodic inspections will be conducted to eliminate blind spots in non-disclosable information.
In addition, user-centered services such as agency recommendation services will be discovered and improved during the information disclosure request process to enhance public convenience. A batch processing function for similar, repetitive, and duplicate complaints will be added to eliminate administrative inefficiencies and streamline work procedures.
