127,892 Confirmed Cases Nationwide by 9 PM... 104,034 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] As the Omicron variant continues to decline, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases nationwide reached approximately 120,000 by 9 PM on the 3rd.
According to Seoul Metropolitan Government and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on the same day, 127,892 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
Due to a decrease in testing on the holiday, this is 104,034 fewer cases compared to the 231,926 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
Compared to 183,895 cases recorded at the same time one week ago on the 27th of last month, it decreased by 56,003 cases, and compared to 204,054 cases two weeks ago on the 20th of last month, it decreased by 76,162 cases.
As of 9 PM on the day, new confirmed cases were 61,975 (48.5%) in the Seoul metropolitan area and 65,917 (51.5%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By region, the numbers are as follows: Gyeonggi 35,941, Seoul 20,897, Jeonbuk 8,519, Gyeongnam 7,387, Gyeongbuk 6,253, Chungnam 6,008, Gwangju 5,702, Jeonnam 5,688, Gangwon 5,222, Incheon 5,137, Daejeon 4,566, Chungbuk 3,956, Daegu 3,259, Busan 3,110, Ulsan 2,482, Jeju 2,135, and Sejong 1,630.
