A man in his 70s walking along Gangbyeonbuk-ro at dawn dies after being hit by two passenger cars
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A man in his 70s walking on the Gangbyeonbuk-ro in Seoul early in the morning was hit and killed by two passenger cars.
According to the police on the 3rd, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul booked two vehicle drivers on charges of causing death by negligence under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling.
At around 5:50 a.m. the previous day, Mr. A, a man in his 70s walking on the Gangbyeonbuk-ro road in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, heading toward Guri, was consecutively hit by two passenger cars in motion. It was reported that the vehicle running ahead first struck Mr. A, and then the vehicle following behind also hit him. After the accident, the fire department transported Mr. A to a nearby hospital and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but he died around 6:30 a.m.
