Gwangju Nambu Fire Station Operates Reward System for Reporting Illegal Acts Related to Fire Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Southern Fire Station announced on the 3rd that they are operating a ‘Reward System for Reporting Illegal Acts on Firefighting Facilities’ to ensure quick evacuation and safety in case of fire or emergency situations.
The reward system is designed to provide rewards to those who report violations related to the installation and maintenance of important emergency exits and firefighting facilities that allow safe evacuation during a fire.
The reporting targets include cultural and assembly facilities, sales facilities, transportation facilities, lodging facilities, entertainment facilities, complex buildings, and multi-use establishments. Violations include closure or blockage (including locking) of firefighting facilities, and placing objects around evacuation facilities such as stairs and corridors that obstruct evacuation.
To report, one must submit a report form on violations of maintenance of firefighting facilities along with supporting evidence by visit, mail, or fax. After review, a reward equivalent to 50,000 KRW (such as Onnuri gift certificates) is given per report.
