Wando-gun Hosts Contest for Symbol Design of Jeonnam Sports Festival
Contest for Emblems, Mascots, Posters, Slogans, and Mottos
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Jeonnam Wando-gun announced on the 1st that it will hold a contest for the symbols of the upcoming 2023 62nd Jeollanam-do Sports Festival.
The contest categories include emblem, poster, mascot, slogan, and motto, with two winners (grand prize and runner-up) to be selected in each category.
The contest runs for 30 days from the 23rd of last month to the 22nd of this month, and anyone nationwide is eligible to participate.
The theme of the works should symbolically embody the wish for the success of the event and Wando’s tradition, history, ecology, environment, culture, as well as images such as “Clean Sea Capital Wando, a hopeful future where everyone lives well,” and the provincial government’s goal of “Jeonnam Happiness Era where My Life Changes.” It should also express a festive atmosphere of unity and participation among the residents through the event.
Submitted works will be judged by a panel of experts who will select the grand prize and runner-up in each category and award prize money.
The announcement of winners and awards ceremony will be held in May. Submissions for emblem, mascot, and poster are only accepted by direct visit or registered mail, while slogans and mottos can be submitted by direct visit, mail, or email.
A county official stated, “We are mobilizing all administrative efforts to successfully host the Jeonnam Sports Festival, which is being held in our county for the first time, and we ask for your great interest in the symbol contest.”
