File Local Income Tax Returns and Payments for Corporations Closing in December 2021
Automatic 3-Month Extension of Payment Deadline for SMEs Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 1st that it will operate a concentrated reporting period for corporate local income tax on income attributable to 2021 until May 2.
The target for corporate local income tax reporting is corporations located within the jurisdiction as of December 31, 2021, which must mandatorily report and pay within four months from the end of the business year.
The county decided to extend the payment deadline by three months ex officio for small and medium-sized enterprises that suffered damage due to COVID-19 quarantine measures such as gathering bans and business restrictions.
In addition, even if not in restricted industries, the county plans to actively promote taxpayer convenience policies such as payment deadline extensions to support corporations experiencing management difficulties due to COVID-19.
To this end, the county will send guidance letters to those subject to corporate local income tax reporting and payment and tax agents, and will actively promote through the website and banners.
