Dongwha Pharm Appoints Han Jonghyun as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Dong Wha Pharm announced on the 1st that it has appointed Han Jonghyun as the new CEO.
The new CEO Han graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and earned a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University Graduate School. He joined Dong-A Pharmaceutical's Medical Device Division in 2002, served as head of the Overseas Sales Team in the Overseas Business Department, and was president of Mitech and Dong-A Socio Holdings. He also worked as CEO of the Overseas Business Department and Medical Device Division at Dong-A ST.
Han was newly appointed through Dong Wha Pharm's regular shareholders' meeting held on the 30th of last month. Accordingly, Dong Wha Pharm will be operated under a dual CEO system with CEO Yoo Junha and CEO Han Jonghyun. CEO Yoo will be responsible for the company's over-the-counter (OTC) and ethical drugs (ETC) divisions, while CEO Han will oversee healthcare, medical devices, and cosmetics, adding expertise to the business areas.
