According to Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju on the 1st, the collision occurred around 10:20 p.m. the previous day at an intersection in Jangdeok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, where a motorcycle traveling straight and an electric scooter crossing the crosswalk collided.
As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver, Mr. A (in his 20s), suffered a serious head injury and was transported to the hospital; his life is not in danger.
The middle school student, Mr. B, who was riding the electric scooter, also sustained minor injuries and is receiving hospital treatment.
Shared electric scooters require a driver's license to rent, but it was found that Mr. B rented the scooter using someone else's name.
